In my previous article, I examined physician Pierre Kory’s claim that routine childhood vaccines caused the deaths of 18-month-old twins Dallas and Tyson Shaw. After reviewing the medical literature, epidemiological evidence, and the specific claims in his article, I concluded that the evidence presented did not establish causation by vaccines.
Steve Kirsch has since published a follow-up article responding to the criminal indictment of the twins’ mother, Andrea Shaw. His article shifts the focus away from vaccine biology and toward the prosecution’s theory, arguing that the criminal case is fundamentally inconsistent with the scientific literature.
This article is not an attempt to determine whether Andrea Shaw is guilty or innocent. That question will ultimately be decided in court based on evidence that has not yet been fully presented publicly.
Instead, this article asks a narrower question:
Do Steve Kirsch’s public claims follow from the evidence he presents?
The Autopsy Was Reportedly “Undetermined”
Kirsch notes that the autopsy reportedly listed the cause of death as undetermined.
That is an important fact.
An undetermined cause of death simply means that, after reviewing the available medical and forensic evidence, the medical examiner could not identify a single definitive cause.
By itself, an undetermined autopsy does not establish that vaccination caused the deaths.
It also does not establish homicide.
Rather, it leaves multiple possibilities open until additional evidence is considered.
An undetermined medical finding should not be treated as proof of any particular explanation.
Did Experts Really Say Simultaneous Twin Deaths Are Impossible?
Kirsch argues that prosecution experts claim two twins cannot die at the same time from a vaccine-related event.
At present, the public has not seen the experts’ complete testimony.
Without hearing their actual opinions in context, it is impossible to determine whether Kirsch’s characterization is accurate or whether the experts were making a narrower claim based on the specific medical evidence in this case.
Until testimony is presented in court, readers should be cautious about accepting either side’s summary as complete.
The “100% of Twin Deaths Followed Vaccination” Claim
This is one of the central claims in Kirsch’s article.
He argues that every documented case of simultaneous twin deaths occurred shortly after vaccination.
Even assuming the published case reports he cites all involved recent vaccination, that still would not demonstrate that vaccination caused those deaths or that every simultaneous twin death occurs after vaccination.
Case reports are published because they are unusual and medically interesting.
They are not random samples of all deaths occurring in the population.
This is an example of publication bias. Unusual cases are far more likely to appear in medical journals than ordinary ones.
Case reports can identify possible safety signals deserving further investigation, but they cannot determine how common an event is or establish causation.
That requires larger controlled studies.
The Twins Became ill After Vaccination
Kirsch emphasizes that both children reportedly developed lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, poor appetite, and other symptoms shortly after vaccination.
That timing deserves careful investigation.
In my previous article, I concluded that these events were appropriately reported and warranted medical evaluation.
However, the presence of illness after vaccination does not establish what ultimately caused the twins’ deaths.
Several possibilities—including infection, another medical condition, vaccine-related illness, environmental exposure, or another cause—would need to be evaluated using complete medical and forensic evidence.
The reported illness is an important part of the history.
It is not, by itself, proof of the final diagnosis.
In my previous article, I examined the scientific basis for the vaccine-causation hypothesis in detail, including the historical case reports, SIDS studies, VAERS analyses, and proposed biological mechanisms. My conclusion was that the evidence presented did not establish that vaccination caused the twins' deaths. Kirsch's article does not present substantial new medical evidence that changes that assessment.
A.I. Is Not Evidence
Kirsch includes analyses generated by ChatGPT and other AI systems suggesting that the prosecution has not established guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
AI can summarize information presented to it.
It cannot evaluate evidence that has not been made public.
It has no independent access to sealed court records, forensic reports, witness interviews, pathology findings, or other evidence that may be introduced during trial.
Asking an AI to evaluate a summary of publicly available information is not the same as asking it to evaluate the entire case.
Its conclusions are necessarily limited by the information provided.
Does Kirsch’s Conclusion Follow?
Kirsch’s overall argument is essentially:
The twins became ill after vaccination.
Similar cases have been reported.
The autopsy was undetermined.
Therefore, vaccination caused the deaths.
The difficulty is that the conclusion requires evidence beyond what is presented.
The reported illness establishes a temporal association.
Historical case reports demonstrate that similar events have been described.
An undetermined autopsy means the cause of death has not been medically established.
None of those facts, individually or collectively, demonstrate that vaccination caused the Shaw twins’ deaths.
Likewise, none automatically prove any alternative explanation.
Scientific conclusions require evidence directly supporting the proposed mechanism—not simply the elimination of competing hypotheses.
Following the Evidence
One strength of Kirsch’s article is that it reminds readers not to dismiss unusual medical events simply because they challenge conventional thinking.
Serious adverse reactions to vaccines do occur, although they are rare, and every credible report deserves careful investigation.
The article becomes less persuasive when it treats unanswered questions as confirmation of a preferred explanation.
Questions are not evidence.
Possibilities are not proof.
The same standard should apply regardless of which hypothesis is being considered.
Conclusion
The deaths of Dallas and Tyson Shaw remain deeply tragic.
Steve Kirsch raises questions that deserve thoughtful examination, particularly regarding the interpretation of case reports and the need to investigate unexpected medical events.
However, the evidence presented in his article does not establish that vaccination caused the twins’ deaths.
Nor does it allow readers to independently evaluate the medical or forensic evidence underlying the ongoing criminal case.
As with any serious scientific or legal claim, conclusions should follow the evidence, not precede it.
